Lost and Hopefully Found

Search – mistaken fate

Gemstone trees and diamond rain

Are hoarded by greed

Time needed escape

Now lost – we go on a quest

In dreams recovered

Then growth continues

Gems are left raw and uncut

Untouched – more lovely

Greedy thieves buried

Turned over to dust and worms

Just consequences

We’ll not tire in search

Through desert, wood and village

Fate, Time show themselves

  1. “Gemstone trees and diamond rain.” THIS is an Oregon Coastal phrase. When the sun hits the newly leafed trees covered in rain…….. you just took me back to Tillamook!
